Akira Kosemura Releases Second Single from Upcoming ‘Rudy’ OST

Composer Akira Kosemura has released the single “Cath and Thomas” from his upcoming original soundtrack to Rudy, a film directed by Shona Auerbach.

Set in the heart of rural England, Rudy finds her relationship with her father being tested. Stuck as a proxy parent to her younger siblings and dealing with a recent loss, she feels increasingly pushed out when her home gets opened up to a paying guest. Through a newfound friendship with a boy from Coventry, she discovers fun, freedom and autonomy, but is it at the sacrifice of unspoken family wounds? Rudy is a poignant insight into love, loss and moving on.

Akira’s delicate piano score intimately echoes the love and sorrow of Rudy's family, a family that struggles but progresses gently.

Akira released the first single, "Looking In The Same Direction", on August 4, and the the full original soundtrack album is set to drop September 15, 2023 on his own Schole Records. You can pre-order it here.
