Stefan L. Smith Receives ASCAP Foundation David Rose Award

Stefan L. Smith has been selected as the 2021 recipient of The ASCAP Foundation David Rose Award, which he received at today’s virtual ASCAP Foundation Honors.

The award was established with a gift from The Rose Family Trust to honor television and film-scoring of the great David Rose whose works include the instrumental standards “Holiday for Strings,” “The Stripper,” and the music for Bonanza and Little House on the Prairie. The honor comes with a $5000 cash award.

Stefan was nominated by a committee consisting of both ASCAP staff and industry professionals based on being an aspiring composer working towards a career in scoring for film and/or television and demonstrating career potential through excellence in composing, communication and/or professional acumen.

Congratulations, Stefan! Your Spectra family is very proud of you!
