Stanley A. Smith Scores Ava DuVernay’s ‘Cherish The Day’ Season 2

Spectra Creative Agency’s newest signing, Stanley A. Smith, has scored the second half of the powerful second season of Cherish The Day, an award-winning anthology series created by Ava DuVernay and produced by ARRAY Filmworks. The season premiered on the Opraph Winfrey Network (OWN) on October 4th, with the first episode that Smith has scored having aired on November 1st.

Starring Joy Bryant and Henry Simmons, the second season follows two high school sweethearts who are reunited in New Orleans years later and find their love rekindled. Smith captures this fated moment with exceptional detail and care. A mix of intimate piano, live strings and horns, his music blends nuanced harmonies and colors that not only stir longing and tenderness, but also create a moment where time ceases to move, and all that exists in that very instant is that rare spark between two souls.
